The only such program in the state of Ohio, and ranked 10th nationally by U.S. News and World Report, CFAES’s agricultural engineering program provides students with an extremely versatile set of skills and knowledge. Students focus on soil and water, structures and facilities, or machinery systems. They often pursue careers in electrical, mechanical and civil engineering.
Students who specialize in agricultural engineering combine fundamental engineering principles such as solid mechanics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer system, dynamics, instrumentation and engineering economics with the engineering design of machines, structures and water management systems.
