New in 2016, the Construction Landscape Lab provides space for Ohio State ATI’s landscape and construction programs. It has nearly 2,400 square feet of climate-controlled space—because who wants to work outside in freezing cold weather, anyway?
The lab has permanent displays built by the students themselves for in-lab teaching and demonstration purposes. Sensors have been placed in the walls to collect data to bring back to the class for analysis and interpretation.
The landscape program uses the lab to teach equipment safety and for landscape construction projects when the weather isn’t conducive to working outside.
