Equine Facility

At Ohio State’s Equine Facility in Columbus, routine care of the horses is a priority, and students do much of the work. The place is a student favorite. CFAES’s Department of Animal Sciences runs the facility.

The facility currently houses 30 to 40 quarter horses and is the central location for CFAES’s equine-related teaching, research and Extension activities. It features a heated indoor arena, hot and cold wash rack, 28 box stalls, two large foaling stalls equipped with cameras, two large stallion stalls, breeding lab, and classroom. There’s a large outdoor arena and several paddocks with turnout shelters.
