The Gwynne Conservation Area is part of CFAES’s 2,100-acre Molly Caren Agricultural Center in London, 30 miles west of Columbus. Called “the Gwynne” for short, it has nearly 70 acres of prairies, woods and waters, which are used to showcase and demonstrate conservation practices ranging from preventing erosion to managing ponds to improving habitat for wildlife.
CFAES classes visit the Gwynne to see and learn about those practices firsthand and, ideally, get their hands dirty and feet wet. Every September, more than 100,000 people visit the Caren center and Gwynne for the college’s three-day Farm Science Review agricultural trade show.
