If you’re interested in impacting Ohio State as well as the world around you, the SUSTAINS Learning Community may be for you. Based in Scott House dorm, SUSTAINS stands for Students Understanding Sustainability and Taking Action to Improve Nature and Society.    

Learning communities are designed to support students with common interests. Open to first-year and second-year students from all majors, SUSTAINS teaches members best practices for sustainable living and explores how sustainability relates to their lives and the lives of others through discussion, service projects and hands-on learning. Because sustainability is an inherently holistic subject, the diversity of majors provides for valuable discussions and diverse perspectives.
