If you want to see a perfect combination of rural and urban, the Waterman Dairy Farm at the Waterman Agricultural and Natural Resources Laboratory is your place. Located on the western edge of Ohio State’s Columbus campus, the farm has 122 acres of crops and 45 acres of pasture in the middle of the city.
The dairy raises and milks about 100 registered Jerseys in a double eight herringbone parlor.
Departments in CFAES and in Ohio State’s College of Veterinary Medicine use the farm for courses and research. The farm also gives tours to groups from outside the university.
